InDesign master pages are used to copy design elements across several pages and/or spreads. The most common elements tend to be graphic decorations, page numbers, and chapter/section names that are repeated throughout a document.
The following links are helpful resources for how to use master pages.

The Final Project
Our final project will be to create the Class of 2014 Graduation Booklet. Students can look at previous years’ booklets for ideas and inspiration. We will begin the project by creating cover pages and a “logotype” for the Class of 2014. Additionally we will create master pages individually, discuss, vote, and create an overall theme for the booklet. Once we have the major design elements down, students will be assigned pages to work on and photos to edit.
